Deans Pond Association established in 1961 by a group of forward thinking young families was created as a little oasis in the middle of Somers. We limit our membership to 50 families and as such comprise a wonderful cross section of the community which includes a few founding members to the newest families in the neighborhood and everyone in between. When you step onto Deans Pond you'll think you've stepped back in time. Children of all ages love and enjoy the sandy beach, fishing and even boating. Wonderful memories are made here. From our kickoff barbeque in May, to the relay races at our summer picnic the friendships formed here are made to last for years. You'll see bike riding and wiffleball between young and old alike while the older kids teach the younger ones how to catch frogs by the creek. Or just stretch out to get a tan and read a book in a lounge chair. Our bonfire in September to close the pond is a sight to behold with tents lined up and children and their parents sleeping out under the stars. After we close for the season, we continue to socialize at our holiday party in December.
There's always laughter and fun at Deans Pond. Your little getaway just around the corner. We have lifeguards on duty during swim hours. The barbecue is lit at 6:00pm every Wednesday for the weekly barbecue, bring some hot dogs and burgers and get to know your neighbors. Deans Pond Association, there's nothing else like it.
